Role and Responsibilities

Responsible for the day-to-day administrative support of the Packer Avenue Recovery Program. This Program will operate within the confines of state regulations, CATCH policies, and professional mental health standards.

 

Brief Outline of Duties:

1.  Answer telephones in an efficient, pleasant, and courteous manner.

2. Maintain an accurate updated People In Recovery (PIR) information database including EVS.

3. Prepare PIR charts for registration, updates, and closure.

4. Maintain and submit demographic information on PIR as required by the Office of Mental Health/ Mental Retardation.

5. Prepare, distribute and process staff time sheets, PIR accountabilities and other personnel matters as directed by the Program Coordinator/ Associate Director.

6. Track and disbursement of cab voucher quantity on hand, petty cash, and PIR distribution of check requests.

7. Accurately file, photocopy, facsimile documents as well as distribute the mail.

8. Process forms for PIR transportation.

9. Other duties as assigned by the Associate Director.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalency required. Accurate typing (45 wpm), and communication skills required. Working knowledge with all aspects of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel required, knowledge of Access software a plus. Two years’ experience in an Administrative/ Clerical capacity in a Mental Health setting preferred.

 

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE (IF APPLICABLE)

Must have an acceptable PA criminal history, FBI clearance and Child Abuse clearance done prior to hire.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position, dayshift, Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must have physical ability to: A) Climb stairs; B) Sit for prolonged periods, carry heavy objects (up to 20 lbs.), kneel and bend.
