CATCH Crisis Residence COVID-19 Guidelines
Admission Criteria

All referrals must have a negative COVID-19 test no more than 48 hours prior to admission

Exceptions may be made for a negative test confirmed in more than 48 hours

All referrals must not exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19
Admission Process

All clients must complete a COVID-19 questionnaire and have their temperature checked

If a client answers “Yes” to any of the questions, he/she will need to be medically evaluated

If the client’s temperature is 100.4 or higher, he/she will be taken to the nearest emergency room by the referring agent/agency

If a client has a fever but has no positive responses to the questionnaire, he/she will be admitted to a designated admission observation room

The client will be monitored for symptoms for 5 days

The client will be required to wear a mask when out of his/her room for the 5 days he/she is in the admission room

Social distancing of at least six feet will be required during this time

All of the client’s meals will be eaten apart from the general population during this time

If the client remains symptom-free for 5 days, he /she will be transferred to a standard room

Daily Monitoring of all Clients.

All clients will have their temperature taken on a daily basis

All clients must complete a COVID-19 questionnaire on a daily basis
Positive symptom scenario

If a client has a fever equal to or higher than 100.4

The client must wear a mask
-
The client will be supplied with an N95 mask, if available
-
If an N95 mask is unavailable, the client will be provided with a standard mask

The client will be removed from the general population

The client will be sequestered in a designated isolation room

A CATCH staff member will contact 911 for transport to the nearest emergency room
