Full-time position, Mon-Fri, 12pm to 8pm.
Part-time position, Mon-Fri, 9am to 12pm.
$16/hr
BRIEF OUTLINE OF DUTIES:
- Ability to work in a variety of environments, ambulate throughout assigned individual’s home, navigating stairs and other physical barriers typical to private residences.
- Lift, carry, or transfer assigned individual with assistance (2 person transfers)
- Assist individual during meals (this includes feeding for those who require the assistance to eat)
- Assist individuals in the restroom according to their individual needs
- Assist individuals to explore opportunities in the community. The goal is to increase socialization, community involvement, and community safety awareness
- Enter progress notes daily on each individual you worked with
- Provide physical assistance as needed during personal care, program activities, and during community activities
- Implement activities identified in the ISP and by Program Director
- Complete 24 hours of training annually including CPR, First Aid, Everyday Lives, Individual Service Plans, and all trainings required by the 6100 regulations
- Follow all behavior plans as written
- Develop and implement program activities based on individuals interests and abilities
- Assist and support all training of back up staff members
- Role model appropriate social skills
- Develop professional rapport with all individuals in program
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program manager
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma (or GED)
- A minimum of 1 year of experience with adults with Autism/ Intellectual disabilities
- Able to maintain confidentiality and privacy of all consumer records and information.
- Able to work well with individuals with varying emotional and cognitive challenges
- Able to successfully manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to work in a variety of environments, ambulate throughout a patient’s home, navigating stairs and other physical barriers typical to private residences.
