Full-time position, Mon-Fri, 12pm to 8pm.

Part-time position, Mon-Fri, 9am to 12pm.

 

BRIEF OUTLINE OF DUTIES:

  1. Ability to work in a variety of environments, ambulate throughout assigned individual’s home, navigating stairs and other physical barriers typical to private residences.
  1. Lift, carry, or transfer assigned individual with assistance (2 person transfers)
  2. Assist individual during meals (this includes feeding for those who require the assistance to eat)
  3. Assist individuals in the restroom according to their individual needs
  4. Assist individuals to explore opportunities in the community. The goal is to increase socialization, community involvement, and community safety awareness
  5. Enter progress notes daily on each individual you worked with
  6. Provide physical assistance as needed during personal care, program activities, and during community activities
  7. Implement activities identified in the ISP and by Program Director
  8. Complete 24 hours of training annually including CPR, First Aid, Everyday Lives, Individual Service Plans, and all trainings required by the 6100 regulations
  9. Follow all behavior plans as written
  10. Develop and implement program activities based on individuals interests and abilities
  11. Assist and support all training of back up staff members
  12. Role model appropriate social skills
  13. Develop professional rapport with all individuals in program
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the Program manager

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma (or GED)
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with adults with Autism/ Intellectual disabilities
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and privacy of all consumer records and information.
  • Able to work well with individuals with varying emotional and cognitive challenges
  • Able to successfully manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments, ambulate throughout a patient’s home, navigating stairs and other physical barriers typical to private residences.
  • Driver’s License (Preferred)

Must have an acceptable PA criminal history, FBI clearance and Child Abuse clearance done prior to hire.
