CATCH Intellectual disAbilities COVID-19 Guidelines

Masks are required during program hours

Ensure that participants can wear a mask for at least 90 minutes

A place will be provided within the facility for “mask breaks” should it be necessary for a participant to remove their mask for a brief period of time

CATCH will provide participants with a mask if necessary
-
Participants will be given daily temperature checks prior to entering the program area
-
Participants are being asked to complete this questionnaire on a daily basis
-
Please call the program immediately if the participant answers “Yes” to any of these questions
-
If the participant answers “No” to each of the questions, they may attend the program as planned
-

Up to 10 participants will be allowed to attend the program on a daily basis
-
All participants will attend a maximum of three days
-

Participants will have assigned seating
-
There will be three participants and one staff member per group
-
There will be no changing of staff or group members throughout the day
-
-
The Activity Area will consist of four tables portioned by Plexiglas.

Each Participant will be six feet apart from the other group members
-
Each Group will also be spaced six feet apart
-
-
Staff will limit the number of participants allowed in the restrooms at one time
-
Restrooms will be disinfected twice daily
-
All participants will be given a tour of the facility and an explanation of these guidelines
-
Training (see below) will include the participants’ roles and responsibilities in preventing the spread of germs

Reminders and prompts on these roles will continue on a daily basis

Importance of wearing a mask at all times

Importance of remaining socially distant (6ft) from those around you

Importance of washing your hands (20 seconds or more)

Importance of not shaking hands, hugging, or touching others (We can wave hello!)

Importance of sneezing into a tissue or your elbow

Importance of staying home and alerting someone if you do not feel

Staff will be trained in the following areas in order to provide participants with a safe and healthy environment

How to properly wear a mask

Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

The importance of staying home if you do not feel well

How to care for others while preventing the spread of germs

It is important that you do not send your family member to the program if they are sick. Please have an emergency pick up person available on days you wouldn’t be able to pick up if they suddenly become sick at the program. If someone becomes sick during the day, it will be important for us to have them leave the program as soon as possible to prevent the spread of germs and others becoming ill.
