CATCH Inc.’s Respite 1 residential program is a 21-bed unit dedicated to promoting recovery, wellness, and community reintegration by addressing each participant’s psychiatric, medical, and behavioral health needs within a safe and supportive environment. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively with each participant to develop a personalized care plan that fosters healing and stability. We emphasize whole-person wellness, focusing not only on symptom management but also on building the skills necessary to sustain a balanced, healthy life.

At our Respite 1 program, participants receive the support they need to transition successfully back into the community, re-establish personal goals, and take meaningful steps toward long-term stability and independence. Our Respite 1 program benefits include but are not limited to:

• Holistic, person-centered approach to mental health care
• Safe and supportive respite environment
• Individualized Recovery Planning and Goal Setting
• Assistance with community reintegration and establishing or reconnecting supportive connections
• Family involvement and collaboration intentions
• Program includes mental health professionals, nursing staff, on-site psychiatric treatment, and case managers

Enrollment Eligibility

• For individuals 19 years of age and over.
• Diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illness (SMI) according to the DSM-V.
• In need of housing due to history of repeated homelessness.
• Average stay is about two years.

Enrollment Information

Referrals can be made by local hospitals, boarding homes, mental health residential providers, case managers, self-referrals, or may come through the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Behavioral Health (DBH). Referral can be found here.
